What to Expect:
Book a phone screening visit with the provider to elicit your needs
Schedule your intake appointment in-person or online
Your initial evaluation will consist of a comprehensive evaluation including counseling to deliver the best support to individuals coping with or recovering from mental health conditions/disorders.
Your provider will ask you a number of questions regarding
- the nature of your challenges,
- external and internal factors that contribute to the worsening or betterment of your challenges
- your work, childhood, relationships, family history, and other topics as seen relevant by your provider.
Upon completion of your assessment your provider will discuss their assessments and recommendations for your treatment plan with you and allow you to be an active participant in your treatment. Your provider may also involve your outpatient therapist, primary care provider and other specialist including family to provide additional support of your treatment plan.
The therapeutic approach your provider imploys will depend on many factors, primarily the factors unique to your needs, the providers training and experience, and the goals of your treatment.
